Engineer with deep experience in network security, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and AI deployment. Hands-on production experience with vLLM, retrieval-augmented generation systems, and hardened infrastructure. Based in Tromsø, Norway.
The thesis
regulated European organisations need AI. Regulators need proof it's under control. These aren't opposing forces — they're engineering constraints. Build the AI inside your own walls, on open-source models, with compliance evidence generated automatically. No data egress. No vendor lock-in. No gap between “we deployed AI” and “here's the evidence for your regulator.”

Svalv is based in Tromsø — above the Arctic Circle, in a city with a deep tradition of technology, research, and operating in extreme conditions. The name “Svalv” reflects the Arctic origin: cold, clear, precise.
Company stage
Svalv is early-stage, founder-led, and pre-revenue. We are building in the open: honest about what exists, what's on the roadmap, and what we don't know yet.
