Who we are

Svalv (“Svalv”, “we”) is a company registered in Tromsø, Norway. We provide sovereign AI infrastructure and compliance services for European financial institutions.

What data we collect

Website analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless, EU-hosted analytics service. Plausible does not collect personal data, does not use cookies, and does not track individual visitors. No consent banner is required.

Assessment booking form

When you submit the assessment booking form, we collect: your name, work email address, company name, and role. This data is processed by Netlify Forms and stored on Netlify's infrastructure. We use this data solely to schedule and conduct the assessment.

Newsletter subscription

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. This data is processed by Netlify Forms. We use this data solely to send you our monthly note on sovereign AI and EU regulation. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us.

Customer AI data

Svalv deploys AI inside your infrastructure. Your prompts, documents, embeddings, and inference outputs never reach Svalv. We have no access to your AI data.

Legal basis

We process personal data under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps) for assessment bookings, and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) for newsletter subscriptions.

Data transfers

Netlify may process form submission data in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. Plausible Analytics processes data exclusively in the EU. We do not transfer customer AI data outside your infrastructure.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Datatilsynet in Norway).
